Surf & Turf Skewers (Girls Gone Grillin’ Style)

This is bold, juicy, and perfect for the grill—steak + shrimp with a fresh chimichurri that cuts right through the richness.

Ingredients

  • For the Skewers:
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye, cut into 1½-inch cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–2 tbsp Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
  • Optional: bell peppers, red onion chunks, zucchini
  • For the Chimichurri:
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Juice of ½ lemon (or lime for your twist )

Instructions

1. Prep the Skewers

Toss steak and shrimp separately with olive oil and your SPG with a Kiss of Onion

Thread onto skewers (alternate steak + shrimp or keep separate for even cooking)

2. Make the Chimichurri

Mix everything in a bowl

Let it sit at least 15–20 minutes (flavor gets better)

3. Grill Time

Preheat grill to medium-high (400–450°F)

Grill skewers:

Steak: ~3–4 min per side

Shrimp: ~2–3 min per side (don’t overcook!)

4. Finish

Pull off grill, rest a few minutes

Drizzle chimichurri over the top or serve on the side

Girls Gone Grillin’ Tips
