Ingredients:
- 2 lb pork shoulder
- 1 package of brioche slider rolls
- 1 bag of coleslaw mix
- 2 cup raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing
- 2 cup Girls Gone Grillin’ cherry chipotle BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoon Girls Gone Grillin’ sweet and sticky BBQ seasoning
- 2 tablespoon Girls Gone Grillin’ S.P.G. Plus a Kiss of Onion BBQ seasoning
Instructions:
For the Pulled Pork:
- Preheat the Smoker: Set your smoker to 225°F.
- Prepare the Pork: Score the fat cap of the pork shoulder by making shallow cuts across the surface. This helps the seasoning penetrate and the fat render.
- Season the Pork: Rub the pork shoulder all over with Girls Gone Grillin’ sweet and sticky BBQ seasoning and S.P.G. Plus a Kiss of Onion BBQ seasoning.
- Smoke the Pork: Place the seasoned pork in the smoker, fat side up. Smoke for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F - 170°F.
- Wrap and Continue Smoking: Transfer the pork to an aluminum pan, cover with tin foil, and return it to the smoker. Continue smoking for another 2 to 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 203°F.
- Rest the Pork: Remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest in a covered cooler for at least one hour. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the pork tender and juicy.
- Shred the Pork: After resting, shred the pork using forks or meat claws. Toss the shredded pork with additional sweet and sticky BBQ seasoning for extra flavor.
For the Raspberry Slaw:
- Prepare the Slaw: In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with raspberry vinaigrette salad dressing. Toss well to coat the slaw evenly.
Assembling the Sliders:
- Prepare the Slider Rolls: Cut the brioche slider rolls in half. Lay the bottom half of each roll on a plate or serving tray.
- Add the Pulled Pork: Pile a generous amount of shredded pulled pork on the bottom half of each slider roll.
- Add the BBQ Sauce: Drizzle a spoonful of Girls Gone Grillin’ cherry chipotle BBQ sauce over the pulled pork.
- Top with Slaw: Add a scoop of the raspberry slaw on top of the pork.
- Assemble the Sliders: Place the top half of the slider rolls on the assembled ingredients.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve the sliders immediately, or keep warm for serving.
Note: If you want to skip the long smoking time, you can always use a pre-packaged pulled pork product that’s not seasoned. Just heat it up and follow the rest of the recipe for assembling the sliders.
Enjoy your tender, smoky pulled pork sliders with a tangy twist from the raspberry slaw! Perfect for your next BBQ, game day, or gathering.
