Girls Gone Grillin’ Style

Ingredients

  • 1 prime rib roast (4–6 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
  • 1 tablespoon Girls Gone Grillin’ Sweet & Sticky
  • 1 teaspoon Girls Gone Grillin’ Hot Hens (optional for a little kick)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • Garlic Butter Herb Sauce
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4–5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
  • ½ teaspoon Girls Gone Grillin’ Hot Hens (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

Prep the Prime Rib

Let the roast sit at room temp for about 1 hour.

Season (Flavor Layer Time)

Rub with olive oil, then coat evenly with:

SPG with a Kiss of Onion

Sweet & Sticky

Hot Hens (optional)

Press in fresh rosemary and thyme.

Smoke Low & Slow

Preheat smoker to 225°F.

Place roast fat side up and smoke until internal temp reaches:

120–125°F (rare)

128–132°F (medium rare)

135°F (medium)

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

Melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant (1–2 minutes).

Stir in:

SPG with a Kiss of Onion

Hot Hens (optional)

Fresh herbs + lemon juice

Let it gently simmer.

Reverse Sear for Crust

Crank heat to 450°F and return roast for 5–10 minutes to get that killer crust.

Rest & Finish

Rest 15–20 minutes. Slice and drizzle with that garlic herb butter. Spoon extra over the top for that glossy finish.

Pro Tip

Mix a little of the garlic butter and brush it on during the last 10 minutes of smoking for an extra flavor punch
