Smoked Artichokes with Seasoned Butter-Girls Gone Grillin’ Style

Prep the Artichokes
Trim stems so artichokes sit flat.
Cut about 1 inch off the tops and snip sharp leaf tips.
Slice in half lengthwise and rub cut sides with lemon to prevent browning.
Parboil (Key Step!)
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add artichokes and boil 15–20 minutes, until just fork-tender.
Drain well.
Season
Brush artichokes with olive oil.
Season generously with Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG.
Smoke
Preheat smoker to 225–250°F.
Place artichokes cut-side up on the grates.
Smoke 45–60 minutes, until tender with light char and smoky flavor.
Make the Seasoned Butter
Melt butter and whisk in SPG, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and optional heat.
Keep warm for dipping.
Serve It Up
Serve artichokes hot with warm seasoned butter on the side.
Pull leaves, dip, and scrape with your teeth. Save the hearts for last — the best bite!
