Slow-Cooked Cabbage, Potatoes & Kielbasa

Hearty, comforting, and full of smoky flavor — this is the kind of meal that fills the house with the best smell all day.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head green cabbage, chopped
  • 1½ lbs baby potatoes (halved)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ cups chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika

Optional: pinch red pepper flakes

Slow Cooker Method

Layer potatoes on the bottom.

Add kielbasa, onion, and garlic.

Top with chopped cabbage.

Pour broth over everything.

Sprinkle seasonings and add butter on top.

Cook LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender.

Stir gently before serving so everything gets coated in that buttery broth.

Optional Flavor Boost

Add a splash of apple cider vinegar at the end for brightness.

Stir in a spoon of whole grain mustard.

Finish with fresh parsley.
