Roasted Asparagus with Bacon & Blue Cheese
This is the kind of side dish that steals the spotlight at a Girls Gone Grillin’ cookout — smoky, crispy, salty, and just the right amount of bold.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus (trimmed)
- 4–6 slices thick-cut bacon (chopped)
- ½ cup blue cheese crumbles
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
- Optional: balsamic glaze drizzle
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, SPG, garlic powder, and pepper.
Spread on a sheet pan.
Sprinkle chopped bacon evenly over the top.
Roast 18–22 minutes until asparagus is tender and bacon is crispy.
Remove from oven and immediately top with blue cheese crumbles.
Optional: drizzle lightly with balsamic glaze for sweet contrast.
Grill Version (Even Better )
Toss asparagus with oil + seasoning.
Cook on grill over medium heat (grill basket works great).
Cook bacon separately until crispy.
Toss together and finish with blue cheese right before serving.
