These flaky, cheesy twists are perfect for parties, BBQ appetizers, or game day. The jalapeño adds just enough heat and the cheddar gets melty and crisp inside the puff pastry.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1–2 jalapeños, finely diced
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
½ tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ Hot Hens (optional for extra kick)
1 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
1. Prep the pastry
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Roll puff pastry slightly on a floured surface.
2. Add filling
Sprinkle evenly with:
cheddar cheese
diced jalapeños
SPG with a Kiss of Onion
Hot Hens
Lightly press the toppings into the dough.
3. Cut & twist
Cut pastry into 1-inch strips.
Twist each strip several times.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Egg wash
Brush twists with egg wash and a little melted butter.
5. Bake
Bake 12–15 minutes until golden and flaky.
Creamy Jalapeño Ranch Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
½ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayo
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp chopped cilantro
½ tsp Hot Hens seasoning
pinch garlic powder
Mix everything together and chill for 30 minutes.
