Plank-Grilled Salmon with White Wine Cream Sauce, Capers, Dill & Lime

This is clean, bold, and perfect for your Girls Gone Grillin’ style—smoky salmon finished with a bright, creamy sauce.

Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

Salmon

  • 1–1.5 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 cedar plank (soaked 1+ hour)
  • Olive oil
  • SPG With A Kiss Of Onion
  • Sprinkle With Sassy Seafood 

White Wine Cream Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup dry white wine (Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp capers (drained & lightly chopped)
  • SPG With A kiss Of Onion 

Instructions

1. Prep the grill

Preheat to 375–400°F

Place soaked cedar plank on grill for 2–3 minutes until it starts to smoke

2. Season the salmon

Pat dry, drizzle with olive oil

Season with salt, pepper, and your seasoning blend

3. Grill the salmon

Place salmon on plank

Close lid and cook 12–18 minutes (no flipping)

Done when it flakes easily

4. Make the sauce

Melt butter in skillet over medium heat

Add garlic → cook 30 seconds

Pour in white wine → reduce by half

Add cream → simmer 2–4 minutes until slightly thick

Stir in lime zest + juice

Add dill + capers

Season to taste

Keep heat low at the end so it stays smooth

Finish (This is where it hits)

Remove salmon from grill

Spoon warm sauce over the top

Finish with:

Extra fresh dill
