Pineapple Barbecue Ribs (Girls Gone Grillin’ Style)

Sweet, smoky, sticky—these ribs bring tropical vibes straight to the pit. Perfect for the grill or smoker.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks pork ribs (baby back or St. Louis)
  • Yellow mustard (binder)
  • Girls Gone Grillin’ Sweet and Sticky BBQ seasoning
  • Pineapple BBQ Glaze
  • 1 cup pineapple juice (or crushed pineapple, drained)
  • ¾ cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Optional heat: pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes

Prep

Remove the membrane from ribs.

Light coat of mustard, then season generously with rub.

Rest 30–60 minutes while the grill/smoker heats to 250°F.

Cook (Low & Slow)

Smoke/Grill ribs indirect heat for 2–2½ hours, until bark forms.

Wrap tightly in foil with:

¼ cup pineapple juice

2 tbsp butter

Cook another 1–1½ hours until tender.

Glaze & Set

Unwrap, brush with pineapple BBQ glaze, and cook uncovered 20–30 minutes to get sticky (bump heat to 275–300°F if needed).

Finish

Rest 10 minutes, slice, and add one last glossy brush of glaze.
