Philly Cheesesteak — Girls Gone Grillin’

Philly Cheesesteak — Girls Gone Grillin’ Style

Bold, cheesy, and made cast-iron perfect—this is how Girls Gone Grillin’ does a Philly

Ingredients

  • Thin-sliced ribeye or sirloin
  • Hoagie rolls, toasted
  • Yellow onion, thin sliced
  • Green bell pepper (optional, but very GGG-approved)
  • Mushrooms (optional)
  • Provolone cheese or Cheese Whiz (dealer’s choice
  • Olive oil or butter
  • Girls Gone Grillin’ S.P.G. Plus a Kiss of Onion BBQ seasoning
  • How to Make It (Cast-Iron Style)

Heat it up – Get your cast-iron skillet hot over medium-high with a little oil or butter.

Veggies first – Sauté onions (and peppers/mushrooms if using) until caramelized. Push to the side.

Steak time – Add sliced steak, season generously with SPG with a Kiss of Onion, and cook fast until just done.

Bring it together – Mix steak and veggies, lay provolone over the top (or drizzle with Cheese Whiz), cover briefly to melt.

Serve it up – Pile high on toasted hoagies and serve hot

GGG Tips

Freeze steak for 20 minutes before slicing for ultra-thin cuts

Add a little beef broth or butter at the end for extra juiciness

Perfect for game day, weeknights, or feeding a crowd
