Pecan Whisper Glazed Baby Back Ribs Girls Gone Grillin’ Style

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG (with a Kiss of Onion)
  • 1–1½ cups Pecan Whisper BBQ Sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional for candy-style finish)

Step-by-Step

Prep the Ribs

Remove membrane from back

Light binder (mustard or oil optional)

Season generously with SPG

Let sit 20–30 minutes.

Smoke

Smoke at 250°F for about 2 hours uncovered.

You’re building bark and color here.

Wrap

Place ribs on foil.

Add:

Butter pats

Brown sugar (optional)

Wrap tightly.

Return to smoker for 1–1½ hours.

Glaze + Set

Unwrap when ribs are tender (around 200°F internal or bend test passes).

Brush generously with Pecan Whisper.

Return unwrapped to smoker at 275°F for 20–30 minutes to let sauce tighten and caramelize.

Pro Move

Light second glaze in final 5 minutes for that glossy competition finish.

If you want them sticky-candy style: Brush + hit with slightly higher heat (300°F) briefly to tack up.
