Lime Steak Tacos

Ingredients

  • Steak
  • Flank or skirt steak
  • Olive oil
  • Zest + juice of 2 limes
  • Garlic, minced
  • Cumin
  • Chili powder or smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Optional: splash of soy or Worcestershire for depth
  • Tacos
  • Warm corn or flour tortillas
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Diced red onion
  • Sliced avocado or guacamole
  • Optional extras: queso fresco, Pico De Gallo, charred jalapeños
  • Lime Crema (optional but )
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Lime juice + zest
  • Pinch of salt
  • Splash of milk to thin

Instructions

Marinate the steak

Mix olive oil, lime zest/juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt & pepper. Marinate steak 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Grill it hot

Grill over high heat (450–500°F) 3–4 minutes per side until nicely charred and medium-rare to medium.

Rest & slice

Let rest 5–10 minutes, then slice thin against the grain.

Build the tacos

Tortilla → steak → onion → cilantro → avocado → squeeze of fresh lime. Drizzle with lime crema if using.

Pro Tips

Finish the sliced steak with a final squeeze of lime right before serving 

Char your tortillas directly on the grill for extra flavor.

These pair insanely well with mango salsa or chili-lime slaw if you want to level up.
