Irish Stew with Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
This hearty Irish stew gets a flavorful boost from Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion. The garlic, pepper, and onion notes deepen the broth and make the meat incredibly savory.
Ingredients
2 lbs beef chuck or lamb shoulder, cut into chunks
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
1 large onion, chopped
3 carrots, sliced
4 Yukon gold potatoes, chunked
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 cups beef broth
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp fresh thyme
½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp fresh parsley (garnish)
Instructions
1. Season the Meat
Pat the meat dry and season generously with
Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion and black pepper.
2. Sear
Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
Brown the meat on all sides for about 5 minutes.
3. Build the Flavor
Add chopped onion and garlic. Cook 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
4. Add Vegetables
Stir in carrots and potatoes.
5. Add Liquid
Pour in beef broth and stir in tomato paste and thyme.
6. Simmer
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered 1½–2 hours until the meat is tender and the stew thickens.
7. Finish
Taste and adjust seasoning with a little more SPG with a Kiss of Onion if desired. Garnish with parsley.
