Fish Sticks with Chili Lime Sauce Girls Gone Grillin’ Style
Crispy, flaky cod sticks paired with a zesty chili-lime sauce—perfect for tacos, bowls, or dipping straight off the platter.
Ingredients
- Cod Sticks
- 1½ lbs fresh cod, cut into sticks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Seasoning

1–1½ tbsp Girls Gone Grillin’ Hot Hens BBQ seasoning
- Optional: ½ tsp smoked paprika (extra color & smoke)
- Breading (optional but recommended)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Chili Lime Sauce
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Zest + juice of 1 lime
- 1–2 tsp chili sauce or sriracha
- ½ tsp Hot Hens seasoning
Optional: drizzle of honey for balance
Instructions
Cod Sticks
Grill (best for firm cod):
Preheat grill to 400°F.
Grill on a lightly oiled grill pan or cast iron 2–3 minutes per side until flaky.
Air Fryer (extra crispy):
Dredge cod in flour → egg → panko.
Air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
Oven:
Bake at 425°F for 12–15 minutes, until golden and flaky.
Chili Lime Sauce
Whisk all sauce ingredients until smooth.
Chill 10–15 minutes to let flavors pop.
