Biscuits and Gravy Casserole

Biscuits and Gravy Casserole

This hearty breakfast casserole is perfect for brunch, holidays, or feeding a crowd. It combines fluffy biscuits, creamy sausage gravy, eggs, and cheese in one dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits, cut into quarters
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ SPG with a Kiss of Onion
  • ½ tsp Girls Gone Grillin’ Hot Hens (optional for a little kick)

Instructions

1. Cook the sausage

In a skillet over medium heat:

Brown the sausage and break it into crumbles.

Do not drain all the grease — you need some for the gravy.

2. Make the gravy

Sprinkle flour over the sausage.

Stir and cook for 1 minute.

Slowly whisk in milk.

Add pepper and SPG with a Kiss of Onion.

Simmer until thick and creamy.

3. Build the casserole

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Grease a 9x13 baking dish.

Spread biscuit pieces evenly in the dish.

Pour sausage gravy over biscuits.

Whisk eggs and pour over everything.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.

4. Bake

Bake 30–35 minutes until biscuits are cooked and the top is golden.

Optional Smoker Method

For a backyard twist perfect for your Girls Gone Grillin’ crowd:

Place casserole in a cast-iron skillet.

Cook on a smoker at 325°F for about 40 minutes using pecan or hickory wood.

Optional Add-Ins

Crispy bacon bits

Jalapeños

Green onions

Pepper jack cheese

Girls Gone Grillin’ tip: Drizzle a little Pecan Whisper BBQ Sauce on top of the sausage before baking for a sweet smoky twist.
